Do I need to install both SP1 and SP2, or can I just get away with SP2? Any help you could provide would be much obliged!

You only need to install SP2. SP1 is included.

I believe your were wrong... for XP yes.. u only need the latest.. but in vista u need sp1 before install sp2..
