Wireless bridge

I am trying to create a bridge using a wired modem, laptop and router. I have so far managed to set up the modem to the laptop and share that internet connection such that the laptop is acting as a router. What I am struggling to do however is use my router as a bridge to connect devices in another room to the internet.
The router is a BELKIN G ROUTER F5D7632-4.

if you are trying for the router to connect wirelessly to your laptop and connect the other computers to the router, the short answer is IT WILL NOT WORK

if I am not mistaken it is not just a router it is a Modem/Router and is one of the reasons it will not work

The way you need to set this up is Modem to Router, then the other devices to the router. If you want to extend the wifi range, get a real wifi bridge or extender and connect that to the router signal.
