Im using a x10 camera for security and need software with motion detection abilities. Im running windows ME, a 1ghz athalon, a ATI tv wonder ve (composite video in), and a radeon 7000 for video overlay.
Using the ATI multimedia center software i am able to capture with the x10, but it dosent support motion detection. Ive try'd a number of video capture programs but am unable to get any of them to capture. They will recognixe that the device is presant though and identify it as a "microsoft wdm image capure [win32]". Any information as far as getting video capture software with motion detection to work would be appreciated.

thx

Um, I don't know of any motion detection apps off hand. I'm sorry I can't really answer your question at the moment. I'll look around, though on the net. There should be software that supports that.

i saw your fix on other posts....will that work with win ME??
the best reason i have so far as to why my card wont work with most software is that it runs using the newer WDM drivers instead of the older VFW drivers.

thx for the heads up

My fix is unrelated to your problem. It merely fixes the garbled image issue in Windows XP.
