How to configure wlan setting in hp window 7 ultimate

Hello,
i recently bought a hp 1219 model laptop with windows 7 ultimate...but i am not able to start wifi connections..i guess there is some installations for wifi drivers to make but when i tried it is not getting installed too..whats is wromg and plz guide me through correct and exact set-up..

Hello and welcome to Tom's Hardware Forums.

The drivers would have been installed at the factory so long as the equipment is original. It's more likely that the wireless adapter is switched off so have a look along the Function keys for the wireless icon - similar to ((0)) - and press that one in conjunction with the Fn key to the left of your spacebar. If there isn't an icon, look for a small switch on the front or sides.
