uninstall nero
delete both cd drives
reboot
let the autodetect go thru till both drives are detected properly
reboot
reinstall nero.

Today on Toms: Trisexual hamsters, anal applications of peanut butter and Marrage councilling!

Go to control panel>system>device manager. Find your drives and right click on them, choose uninstall.

Uninstall Nero or other similar software in the add/remove software icon in control panel.

Then reboot, allow the O/S to autodetect your drives and install the correct drivers. Reinstall Nero, and all should be OK.

 I'd rather have a full bottle in front of me than a full frontal lobotomy....

Maybe it was the Nero ImageDrive? It didn't do the same to me but it was giving me headaches. Both Windows 2K and XP gave errors when I tried to use the Image or any of my CD-ROM/CD-RW drives. I uninstalled it and everything is fine now.
