Unplugging Fan on Video Cards

I wanted to know how safe it is to unplugg the fan on an ATI All in Wonder Radeon and a MSI GeForce 3 Ti200 Cards? Is there some sort of fanless solution? Any input would help a bunch. Thanks

Because of the noise.MSI put in a noisy and powerful fan for oc'ers.That's why I'm not going to by MSI.
