At home I have Network Everywhere (linksys) that works
fine with my laptop and the built-in Broadcom wireless
hardware/software.
At work is an MN-500 Base Station that I have permission
use to access the internet. The Wireless connection
shows active in Winxp's system tray,
yet I cannot connect to the internet.
I have no need to connect to any other computer on that
network, just internet access. The ssid is identical,
and I get an IP address, gateway address, etc when I
check the connection, still no internet access.
Is there a way to set up a seperate connection on my
laptop for the Microsoft base station that can be enabled
and disabled at will or that will work without disabling
the connection at home? ( I work 45 miles from home, so
no conflict there)
Laptop= New HP Pavilion zv5000, loaded. Broadcom
54gMaxPerformance 802.11g wireless built-in.
