I want to run my computer's audio out into my stereo receiver. However, when I run an RCA to 1/8" from my computer to stereo, I get a feedback hum. I suspect I may need shielded cables. Can anyone help me confirm the fix?
FYI, I am using my motherboard's onboard audio. It's a Soyo P4 Dragon Ultra.
It's a line out, not a speaker out. At least, that's what the motherboard manual calls it. If it is a speaker out and misnamed however, how would I remedy the hum? Thanks for your help.
Onboard sound is usually Line in/ mic in/ speaker out. But not always, check the manual. Turn down the master to half so u can reduce the signal to your amp
