Why cant i see the router via my switch

my modem is connected to internet and working fine
i have connected a switch to the modem
computer and wireless router connected to switch - internet works fine through both
wireless router has tivo, amp and wireless printer connected, BUT computer cant print and computer cant see router?? why

the system worked when the computer connected to the router instead of the switch?
do i have to revert to the old setup?

petenroz, I have no idea about your problem but I got problem with my WRV210 router and switch. To solve this problem I had verify my switch and Make sure to got my switch is properly working or not. I had create connection Modem--> Switch--> WRV210 router. I had connect router with Internet port and this port is one set to pick up a DHCP lease.
