Just was given a system consisting of the subject units by original owner,
who though they inoperable. Play fine after a clean up and de-oxit
application to the controls. Lack of output probably had a lot to do with
the preamp selector swich on the rear panel lined up for external input!
Looking for info/opinions on them. Appear to be late 70s/early 80s. Decent
quality construction, discrete transistors/component circuit board
construction, big output stage heat sinks, hefty power transformer, quality
pots for controls. Tuner has a really nice analog dial with smooth flywheel
feel. Satin aluminium front panels with brushed alumimum controls.
Would look great in some walnut surround cases. Lots of internal fusing -
three in the tuner alone!
Are these rebadged Sanyo units from after the original Fisher line was sold
out to Japan?
