If there is a better Newgroup to post my question, please let me know.
I have a Birdview C-Band dish and receiver. I'm in the process of getting
things around to convert it, so I can use a 4dtv receiver. I have purchased
the LNB kit and reed kit from Skyvision. New cable. And I purchased a used
Uniden Supra to use during the conversion (If everything works OK, will be
buying a new 922). Any suggestions, do's or don't, what satellite to leave
the dish at before I disconnect things would be very helpful.

You might want to post your question in rec.video.satellite.tvro

It gets a little more traffic and also join the sat forums
http://forums.satforums.com and post in the general section.
