I have two vintage (circa late 70's) Kenwood integrated amps...a
KA-7300 and a KA-8100. They both have a set of "pre out" and "power
in" jacks. I don't have the user manuals for these amps.
Am I correct in thinking that the "pre out" jacks supply a preamp
signal that could be fed into a separate power amplifier?
And the "power in" jacks would be used if you wanted to feed in a separate
preamp signal and then the Kenwood's power amp would be used, bypassing
the preamp section?
I am trying to determine if I can somehow connect these two integrated
amps together to my benefit.

Yes and No.
IRC my old Kenwood TK140x Pre-out Pre-In (Jumpered) used a lower than
normal "line level" voltage that was *very* suceptable to overdriving
from a alternate Pre-Amp. Maybe they 'fixed' that problem in later
models.
