CAN YOU CHANGE CL 2.5 to CL 2.0 in BIOS

Hi guys,

I have 256 DDR CL2.5 and ASUS A7V333 mobo
Now in the BIOS I can change this from 2.5 to 2.0
My question is will this Damage my memory.
And can I also change 3T to 2T and so on
I would like to set the memory to "2.0 2T, 2T, 5T"
but scared it will damage the memory

Any help would be cool

It won't damage the memory. The PC may not boot, but all you have to do is clear CMOS and try again.

I did a benchmark with these new settings
512 DDR 2.5, 3T, 3T, 6T down to 2.0 2T, 2T, 5T
it benched higher, but it was unstable
progs kept crashing.

Can this acually make my system run slower, or just not optimal.

any response would be cool

like you discovered, it won't be slower but it might be unstable.

Change 5 to 6T if it's unstable.

Good or Bad have no meaning at all, depends on what your point of view is.
