I am considering getting a Game Theater XP for the computer that I just built. Are there any differences between the retail and OEM versions? The price difference is around $30 after shipping. Thanks in advance  .

I think the only difference is that OEM version does not have the software come with Retail version.

Pretty much, yeah. I got the retail, but I wouldn't bother if I were you. I just wanted the box

aw, Herculees must love you-)

Assuming the OEM does come with the drivers and the GTXP speaker utility. Go OEM...unless your like me and...

Run a search on "instant replacement warranty" on these forums. Sometimes retail is worth it, you decide.

Yes, the OEM version comes with the driver CD (you can also download drivers from their site, of course...assuming it isn't down for two weeks again).

Great, thanks for the help  . I think I'll go with the OEM version then.

Shoot, I forgot. The OEM version might not come with the 1/8" to 1/4" adapter for headphones/microphone. They're only $1.99 at Radio Shack (make sure you get a stereo/stereo one for headphones), but it's worth mentioning.
