Seagate 1 tb external hard drive is not recognized

i am gettin the msg "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)"...is there any way i can get this problem fixed??? please help....

Do you have another computer around to check if the external hard drive works with that? That way you could tell if just the driver got messed up or there's really something wrong with the device.

Thnk u...but jus figured out that the upgrade cable for the device is not workin I tried a different upgrade cable, the device jus works fine.
