Wndr3400v2 won't update

my router says an update is available, but will not update...what gives?

just download the firmware directly from netgear and install the update manually if there really is a newer firmware.

I did some research, and I do actually have the newest version, but it keeps telling me it's got an update...

this seems to just be a bug in the router. Lots of peoples displays the same msg. My friends router that I set up a few months ago displays this and is up to date and so does mine that I just got.
