No Auto Mapping of Channels

I have a recurring and annoying problem with my model 920 4DTV
receiver.The problem is,when a "new" channel goes from an analog
condition to a digital one (as in the case of NPS Speed Channel most
recently) it does not automatically get mapped as a channel in the
receiver when the overnight downloads occur.
In order to acquire it,I must always do a "soft reboot" and download
the IPG to get it.
Is there any way to correct this minor anomaly?
Should not the receiver do this on its' own with no intervention? I can
get by with it I suppose,but if there is something I can do to alleviate
it, it would be nice.I think this receiver successfuly automapped a new
channel only once in the past 18 months.
