I don't have the USB 2.0 model, but I can tell you about Visioneer THE COMPANY. Plain and simple: it SUCKS. My scanner worked fine until I tried to get it going under Windows XP. Then I found that it was a 'known problem'. The only bad part was that THERE WAS NO SOLUTION.

Fine, you say, I'll just contact Support. Oops! WHAT SUPPORT? Oh, you mean the 'Call us for $2 a minute, including any waiting time' Support? Yes, I found that my scanner, even though it was only 6 months old, was 'obsolete-not supported'.

So, if you want to deal with a company that specializes in rip-offs, go ahead. Personally, I intend to buy HP nextt time.
