1 GIG need to be registered?

I am adding some ram to an Asus P2B-S.
I would like to use four 256MB Crucial PC133 CL2 sticks. I am running Windows 98 SE. Does this ram need to be registered/ECC?

This is for personal use only, not a server. I don't want to get the registered ram if it is not needed.

You shouldn't need registered memory for personal use.
