Wireless network adapter broken

My laptop's wireless network adapter is not working
When I ran diagnostics it said it was a problem with the hardware or driver, but then windows 7 is sort of silly when it comes to that kind of thing and it wouldn't help me. Eventually I managed to re install the driver but that did absolutely nothing and now it won't connect unless I have the ethernet cable plugged in.
It also no longer will tell me there is a problem with the adapter, it just refuses to bring up any wireless connections.
My computer is a Dell N5110

Any help would be appreciated :love:

Are you able to connect to your wireless signal with any other devices?

Download the driver again from Dell and get the latest one after logging in with your service tag to insure you get the correct one.

I would uninstall the wireless adapter in the device manager (system control panel) and then restart, let it re-detect the device, and then re-install the latest driver.

Once you get a wireless signal, you will need to enter your security pass key. If you still don't get a signal your wireless adapter may be malfunctioning -- get warranty support if you are still under warranty.
