Wiered restart causing a problem

Okay I was on my laptop a asus g73 and this happened about 2 hours ago

I was surfing the web on failblog and all of a sudden my computer just restarts so im like okay it goes through the motions and otherwise just a freak restart. However nothing opens i can move my mouse change screen resolution (in normal operation but not in safemode) This super bothers me cause i cant open firefox or anything on it now any ideas?

from web browsing sitting on my lap? and if so wouldent a ovrheat just brick my laptop?

sound like you might pick up a virus. if you have a usb stick go to an clean pc download malare byte and combo fix. try running them in safe mode and see if they pick anything up.

thats the problem i have those programs....still cany open anything in safemode

i may be a newcomer here to the forum but i am stumped on this problem ive never encountered any virus i couldent get rid of in dafe mode

do you still have warranty on it? if you do just return it and get a new one.

warenty ran out last december soooo i think im screwed

do you have a back up windows 7 cd? maybe if you reinstall the OS the problem is gone. back up ur important files before reinstalling OS

i dont asus dosent like to include that with thier computersso i would have to order one at least

i got it fixed was able to foce a reformat wasent easy and im not happy but i solved it
