Looking for a modem

I recently bought a new router on suggestion of a friend. I picked up the Asus Black Diamond Dual-Band Wireless-N 600 router (RT-N56U). It arrived today and after setting it up, it wouldn't connect to the internet. Now, I realized that I had made a silly mistake and assumed it was a a dual router/modem which was purely my mistake.

I'm looking for either a modem of equally quality to pair it with, or honestly just a new router/modem combo to go with. Does anybody have any advice on what to go for?

for cable internet the Motorola SB6121

for DSL contact you ISP and make sure that the modem you are going to buy will work with their system

Sorry, probably relevant information. DLS, not cable. I'm just looking for advice.

If nothing else could I get some suggestions for DSL compatible router/modem combos? Need wireless, my ISP is centurylink.
