Nothing really. The numbers on the sat rec. and the positioning of the
sat. are totally unrelated. The numbers on the reciever basically are
for the reciever to "remember" where to go back to, to get to that
sat.

Inside of your actuator arm is a reed switch that is sending "pulses"
to reciever as the actuator extends or retracts. These are the numbers
you see on the reciever pulses.

Thanks, that helps alot. So then I would assume that once you find a
certain sat. you can use this as a base and adjust all the other ones
accoringly and to find for example, G1, you'll know that its the
correct sat. from the channels?

Ok, my real problem is that I can not get the guide to come up. I've
called a provider and have had a few hits. My time is good but no
guide. The signal/quality is about 66/99 an G1-3. In the system status
screen the authoriztion status changes from us to zk to oc, depending
on the channel. The diagnostics screen C (?) always says us/us. The
provider tried doing the hit on a few different channels but I still
have no guide. Done the soft reboot a few times as well. I do get
CSPAN and the shopping network etc... and a bunch of screens that come
up with "need supscription" so I assume the receiver is working fine.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
