Internet not working on my pc

Hello,

for some reason my internet isn't working on my pc and i am using windows 7. I think that it is my motherboard because I used the same cable on my laptop and it works perfectly and when I use a wireless usb connector it works sometimes. I am not sure why this is happening but can you help me fix this problem.

have you updated all the drivers for wireless and wired???, if you haven't then it should have a red cross on it and say "no connections found"
