Hello all :)
Good Morning :) (it's 9 AM here :p)
i need to buy a router to share my internet connection, and i need some tips in buying a router..
so this is my need
Internet access availed through TL-WA5110G.

an Ethernet cable runs from TL-WA5110G to my computer.

i have to give a specific IP to connect to the internet(XXX.XX.XX.XXX)

what i need to do is connect a router in between the TL-WA5110G and my PC so that i can access the internet from laptop and PC at the same time.. both wired and wirelessly.

though the TL-WA5110G has a function to be an access point, i am not allowed to use it, as prohibited by my ISP(may cause IP conflicts with other subscribers.)

Hello and welcome to Tom's Hardware Forums.

Your ISPs prohibition makes no sense - IP address are both internal and external and they have no way of seeing what's going on in your network. What you do with the DSL signal once it's inside your house is your business and no-one else has a say in the matter.

That said, any wireless router will do the job you want but going for Wireless N wlil future proof you for a year or so.

will this router be able to solve my problem? or do i need to buy another router..
infact i do have another router(Linksys WAG120N) but it is broken and i am unable to find it's internal circuit parts to repair it.. :( but it is a better router from netgear one, i suppose :p
