Just got off the phone with the good folks at National Programming
Service and they told me that they had received numerous calls about the
IPG. As was pointed out by several earlier posters on this group the
problem is with the uplink at Motorola's Access Control Center in San
Diego.
The problem has nothing to do with over heating receivers or LNB's.
I was told that NPS was contacted by ACC about the problem.
The only thing that we can do is to use what we have in the guide and
hope that the problem will be solved in the near future. It is
discouraging to buy (vs. leasing a smalll dish) an expensive receiver
that includes the IPG feature to only have it constantly giving us
problems.
