Hello,

I'm looking at some options for getting better speeds on my home entertainment center and desktop gaming rig in my condo. Right now I have Centurylink DSL 40down/20 up connection but only 1 active phone jack in the whole place (the 2 other were cut by people who did remodeling as no one has had landlines in the 4plex building in many years)

The whole place is already wired with Coaxial as everyone else in the building uses Xfinity (yuck). Just curious if anyone has used any Ethernet over Coax devices with success. (like this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833996135)

I know powerline adapters are getting better but can have their downfalls but I'm still not seeing a whole lot of info on Ethernet on Coax. If anyone has used them with success, i'd be very interested to hear about.

Cheers!

Thanks for the replay, Emerald...i actually was looking over that website earlier today - pretty good information.

Moreso what i'm looking for is some reviews/cheers/jeers/info from people who have used ethernet over coax setup before I really spend the time/money to do it myself.

Check Dualcomm's Ethernet-over-Coax Adapters:

I ended up going with a Trendnet Powerline adapter. I'm only running it to my gaming rig and everything else in my place is on WiFi. No issues at all with the powerline adapter, consistently getting around 34MB download speeds on tests.
