Wouldn't be nice if Dr. Dish would tackle the IPG download problem in
his weekly advice column in OnSat magazine? Many BUD owners subscribe to
this magazine. Motorola needs to step forward and help these owners of
4DTV receivers with the IPG problem. There is certainly some explaining
to be done on Motorola's part.

So far,my observation is that most of the IPG problems have been from
model 922 owners.
I have a 920 and have not had any problems loading the guide.
In any event even if that is not the case, how come SOME people have
problems and others do not? If it were a systemic problem, you would
think that it would affect everybody.....

I did not say everyone who owns a 922 has had problems;just an
observation so far that everyone who has made a complaint that has had
problems seems to be from 922 owners.
It just seems strange to me that this malady is selective to certain
parties in the 4DTV population, and not everyone in that population.

Are the latest 905's similar to to 922 hardware/firmware?

I have one of the last one's available before they stopped making them.

My 905 is not very predicable. I never know how many hours(not days) I will
get. It is different each time.

I have not had any problems with the downloading of the
IPG.....................whether it is because I have a model 920 or not, I
do not know, but am continually hearing of others continuing to have
problems.............oh, well.............a Motorola thing I guess.
