well i got some new info. first is a price list, much less than i thought.

radiator= $25 (hayden)
block= $45 (be cooling)
pump= $40 (mag-drive 3)
hose and clamps= $10

so for about $120 you can have a killer water cooling system.

i got my cpu at 2.7Ghz right now. had it at 2.8, but 2.2 volts is too much right now since i still don't have the peltiers in there. at 2.8Ghz its about the same as a 3900+.

the coolest part is the CPU runs at 2Ghz with only 1.4 volts!!

its dead in my room.... no more noise. got to love water cooling. also, the water block i'm using is one of the best i've ever seen. it works like a charm. from 1-10 i'd give it 10. and i'm usually pretty tough on rating this stuff.

i'll have some numbers sometime soon. the water cooling system is beautiful! i'd say all should have this system. i LOVE it.

I am currently water cooled but I built the hardware to cool it.

Old college upgrading course we had a team of 5 people in our group it was part of a brain storming week in the course we had to think-up and design a hardware change to a standard computer.

Since I was currently working in high tech for many years and they were younger students I purchased all the raw components for the group and we all got our good grades from it.

At the end of the semester I kept the water cooling hardware as they only needed the grades and not the parts.

I been using the same cooler for the last 5 years in every home built game computer.

I milled the cooling block my own self on an upright milling press. Thnx to the ME guys at the plant they let an Eng pound around in the Lathe room on the weekend :)

Water-cooled? You should set up the world's first Coors-cooled PC.

I was thinking, how about a Mercury-cooled system?

That would be pretty cool :cool: (pun intended).

I be thinking bout that and it seems like a good idea if it's OK for the liquid to conduct electricity; also should make the pump strugle.

Mmmm, I guess about 3-10 ml of liquid, depends on the size, In every thermometer, so between 1667 and 500.
