PC keeps forgetting my connection. Help!

I just built this desktop and everything seems to be working well accept the connection I want saved on my computer. Every time I turn my computer on I have to select the conection manually and enter the WEP key. How do I fix this?

-I am using Windows 7
-My wifi card is a USB EDIMAX

first of all you should change from WEP to WPA2 wireless mode if possible, more secure and easier to remember the key.

are you using the latest driver for the network card?
is it set to a private or a public network? use private

If on a Home Network after entering a WPA2 network key to access your router and the web, There is a automatically connect button which one would select before clicking the connect button after typing your key which then will remember that key for future notice.

forgot to mention i already found the problem. for some reason i have to manually eneter the access poiint into my usb dongle's program (not just the usual Win 7 network settings)... Thx!
