Has anyone tried ReadyBoost on a virtual Windows 7 machine on a Mac running VMWare Fusion?

I am running Windows 7 on a Macbook Pro with 8GB of RAM and the Virtual Windows machine really slows everything down globally. I have tried configuring the Windows VR with 2GB, 1.5GB and 1GB of RAM. Configuring the virtual machine with more than 2GB of RAM really slows down the Mac. Hoping that ReadyBoost might improve things.

Solution
It won't. You should be able to commit 4GB of your system RAM to the VM easily, the problem is with something else. Please make sure that you have VTx turned on in the system setup and VTd if you have it as well.

Keep in mind that you're splitting one hard drive's IO capabilities between two operating systems, so some IO bottlenecking is to be expected.

You should also make sure that you're leaving at least 1 physical CPU available to your host (you can overcommit CPU resources but it can slow things down)
