A friend of mine bought a stick 256mb pc133 micron. He installed it in his computer equiped with a azza mobo with the kt133a chipset and it wouldn't recognize the memory. He had some other stick of 256mb in there already and was trying to add the extra 256mb. But his computer still says he only has 256mb not 512mb. Does anyone have any ideas to what he can do to fix this problem? Any input will help thanks guys.

Try switching the current RAM to the other slot to see if the DIMM slot is defective. Also try flip-flopping the DIMM positions.

try each stick seperately in the same slot.
if they both work, try them both in the next slot.

if you think one stick is bad, you can try testing it with MEMTEST86 (free program found online)
