emagic Audiowerk 8 as Audio Output

Another thing: the card is a "8 Channel Digital Recording PCI Card" with
a phlips chip. 1 input, some ouputs. The card ist recognized in the
\system\device manager (translated from german, see below) but not in
the "sounds and multimedia".

Ach ja, die Karte ist eine "8 Channel Digital Recording PCI Card" mit
einem Philips Chip. 1 Eingang, mehrere Ausgänge. Die Karte ist im
Gerätemanager erkannt, aber nicht unter "Bevorzugte Geräte" unter
systemsteuerung\sounds und multimedia.
