2 display questions on XP?

Hi

1st question

The old Win98 passwords were disguised with stars'but in xp it's large black dots.

Can this be changed?

2nd question

I know how to change my taskbar colours'but my pages are a beige colour.

How do i change this?

The dots, I don't know about.

Changing the color of the pages, you change the "window" item in Appearences in the display properties.

I know how to change it in appearance'but it only lets m change to windows taskbar color and not the window itself.
