In addition to what Ricahrd Zhu wrote download several months worth
of posts from this group. Your question, the answer, and the
questions the answer leads to come up fairly frequently. You'll
also get a pretty good idea of what's going to be involved once you
get the equipment. It will also give you an idea of what equipment
you might be interested in and what you might steer clear of.

Take care,
Rich

Here are instructions for installing a system that might be a good start.

What do you mean miss? You will get little of the same with DVB-FTA
you did on most other TV platforms.

+++++++++++++++++

I get almost all of my TV from DVB-FTA these days.

I have to admit that the only thing I watch is PBS except when the
weather is a concern. Then I check the weather on my local stations.

Sometimes I watch CNN Headline News on DirecTV, but most of my news comes
from the Web.

My wife does enjoy watching A&E on DirecTV, but that's about it.

If it were possible to just pay for A&E and Headline News, I could save a
lot of money on my DirecTV bill.
