JVC RX-552 AV reciever

I have a problem with my stereo reciever that just happened today. The master volume knob seems to be loose, but its loose on the inside. I cant change the volume with the knob anymore, it just slips. I can only use the remote. Does anybody know anything about these recievers

Open it up and tighten it...

Anyway, how long has it been? Maybe still valid for waranty...

Cannot tighten, reciever is 2 yrs old no warranty. Its like an audio taper pot with a logic board for volume, not just a pot. oh well im just using the remote
