Asus N15 extremely slow

So I just installed an Asus n15 wireless adapter in my desktop and my internet is extremely slow ( 1.5 mbps) while my laptop is sitting at around 15, and my other desktop which is hardwired is running at around 20. for reference I am using speedtest.net to find these numbers.

If anyone can help me at all it would be greatly appreciated as this is somewhat frustrating

hi, first of all can you mention which router you have?
also check your drivers once again and if possible re-install the latest drivers from the website.
Also check if a firewall is blocking it or not?
