Questions about Dual Band

I just had a few quick questions about dual band routers. I currently have an N router that is being brought down to G network speeds for obvious reasons. From my understanding, the Dual band routers will allow me to run both G and N networks simultaneously, correct?
My biggest question is, if I have two networks running, will I be able to file transfer between the networks? For example if I have files on computer A (g Network) that I want on computer b (n network), or if I want to stream files from computer A (g network) to my xbox 360 (n network).
