Need new brand or just add?

Currently I have OCZ PC2400 256MBRAM, I had it months ago before the news about them was told. I need another 256MB stick or maybe 512MB more, but the new one will go to another slot so I don't pay again for more, however will I have to use the same brand, or can I buy another brand? Currently I can't locate brands other than Crucial at my local shop, but I will look into it, or else I'll have to get OEMs....ughh
