Well, with my speaker, the megaworks 5100, my sub is 150watts and is highly recommended that the sub be place in the corner. For other's sub it may not make as much difference, but I would still say the corner.
yeah great, only problem is, the megaworks 5.1 system is priced at more than 350bucks, there's no way im spending that much on sound. i would rather spend my money getting a high end geforce4 card.
well, different strokes for different folks i guess, i've always put graphics before sound and for my preferences a INSPIRE 5300 system is more than good enough(you should see what kind of speakers i've got now, two crappy TRUST SOUNDWAVE 240 3D, "TRUST" me when i say, "they suck the monkeys ass!" )
Well, I don't know the Inspire's, but I have a friend who use to have those "400 Watt Boka's" with the sub and amplifier that's about the size of a 12 pack of cans.
Trust me, if you want a 4.1 or 5.1 system (I'm assuming for either gaming or DVD / theatre) spend the extra dough.
There's nothing like rattling my neighbors' windows when I turn my Klipsch's up .
EDIT - I meant to include that if it's not that big a deal then just get a 2.1 system. IMHO it's a waste to buy a $100 or $150 4.1 system that you'lll want to upgrade in a year.
Your using WHAT??? (quote from friend when I told him my PC specs)
Edited by jamus34 on 06/06/02 10:12 AM.

i would rather think about getting a good 5.1 system for my tv, my computer is mainly going to get used for games so i can compromise, for those who can afford 300-500 dollar systems, great! for a student like me, not earning more than about 10000dollars a year, a entry level system is fine.
