Is my Monitor about to die?

Okay, here's the problem. About a month and a half back now.. my monitor shut off and turned on really quickly one day. I thought hmm, power flux. But now lately over the last couple of weeks, when ever I have my system turned on and am surfing the web for a bit (like tonight for example), my monitor starts to go fuzzy for a few seconds, then becomes sharp, then goes fuzzy a few moments later, etc. etc. then goes insanely blurred before doing the off/on trick and working perfectly for a few days.

At first I thought it was the new 52" TV the guy in the apartment next to me, putting against the same wall as the area my system is in in my room causing interference. But now I'm not so sure.

It's a Sony G400, about 5 years old now.. think it's about to pooch, or just needs a good ole cleaning inside and out?
