Cant Connect to Wifi

Hello.. can someone help me why i cant connect my new dell inspiron 15 to my wifi connection.. the wifi connection is appear already but when i enter my password to connect. it says it cannot connect.. please tell me what the problem and what im going to do..

try changing the wireless security type on your router to WEP-OPEN and see if you can connect then.
