My setup is a Twinhan 1020A card, MyTheatre 3.19, Space Star 4x1
diseqc 2.0 switch, and two separate 18" single-lnb dishes pointed at
Echostar 5/8 and Echostar 7. I have 5/8 plugged into the lnb1 port and
7 plugged into the lnb2 port on the diseqc. My problem is that I'm not
able to switch lnb's when changing channels from within MyTheatre.

Echostar 7 channels are fine with the switch in place, but I can't get
anything from 5/8 to come up. I have the diseqc settings at Committed
LNB1 for Estar5/8 and Committed LNB2 for Estar7, with lof1 and 2 @
11250000, and sw @ 0. When I plug directly into Estar5/8 with no
switch, the channels come in fine, but I can never seem to access 5/8
with the switch in place, no matter what settings I make. Do I have
this set wrong, or is it just a bad switch maybe?

Any suggestions?

Don't bother, there is no worthwhile FTA on the 110 satellite.

i have had nothing but problems with my disecq switch as well and reading up
on it it looks like there are a few bad switches out there, spacelabs was
quoted as one of them not sure if its the same as space star. Pansat
switches apparently are the best.

Some switches have the stickers for the lnbs mixed up, i.e. lnb1 goes into
rcv and vice versa....also I'm told never to have the receiver on when
hooking up lnbs to the switch and to first scan all the lnbs without the
swtich into the receiver, then turn the receiver off, hook up the lnbs and
configure the lnb switch #s.

to scan with a disecq switch apparently you should disable all lnbs in the
receiver setup (i.e. disecq off) except the one that you want to scan, then
scan
