Wake over WAN Problems Tags: Compatibility Networking Last response: June 21, 2012 6:28 PM in Networking Share rich18144 June 20, 2012 11:29:34 AM Hi guys, I am having some issues with a PC I have trying to set it up as a WoWan compatible wake-up I have followed the instructions provided here, except I have yet to attempt to setup a DHCP allocation for the PC in question, nor have I a dyndns account. I will attempt to do tonight. The main problem I am having at the moment is that my computer can be woken having been powered-down in sleep mode, but not in any other - Hibernation or Shut Down. Any ideas on what might be causing this? Since the first post, I have managed to succesfully setup a DHCP allocation, but that has not solved this. I am still attempting to setup a DYNDNS, will feedback once I get it sorted. | Report abuse Ask the community Publish Tom's Hardware>Forum>Networking>Wake over WAN Problems> Related ressources: ForumWake on Wan Timeout ForumWake on lan pc does not start after a few good wol ForumWake on lan over the internet ForumWake on WAN with Linksys wrt310n Forumwake -on-lan ForumWake on Lan ForumWake -On-LAN over Internet ForumVPN over WAN with active directory ForumProblem browsing over the WAN ForumCant connect to VNC server over WAN ForumDNS resolution over WAN link ForumCan you turn on pc over lan or wan ForumEthernet over T1 (Ethernet over WAN ...)
