Hi Team,
I have an HP Pavillion a530n desktop that works great with my network. But I need to know if a USB wireless adapter will work in picking up my wireless network? I don't believe the tower itself has wireless capabilities. At least, that option is not available in the Network set up settings.

The 530n does not come with wireless built in, but a USB 2.0 wireless adapter should work fine -- just check to see that it has drivers available for XP if you are running that OS still.

You could use a PCI adapter, but they really are not as good or as cheap as the many USB adapters that are available. You can use any of the four real USB ports, but I wouldn't use the one in the 9 in 1 panel if your model has that.

Sorry for the delay in responding. Your suggestion worked PERFECTLY. The 9-1 panel has some "issues" on this old computer, but the Linksys AE1200 adapter worked just fine in one of the USB's in the back. Thanks for the suggestion!
