This question has probably been answered but I can't find a good
solution yet. T
I'm looking for a prog to do good auto-levelling of a folder of 100+
MP3s. I want all tracks at the same volume level without distortion.
I'm not sure if this is the same as normalization?
Any recommendations? maybe a winamp plugin?

Possibly better solution: Some MP3 players can store volume
normalization _separately_ from the audio, and give you the choice of
normalizing at runtime (which does sound better when you're randomizing
though your collection) or playing unnormalized (which retains the
original dynamic range and thus sounds better when you're playing a
single album's tracks in sequence).
MusicMatch has this feature; I don't remember which others do.

thanks, this is what I was looking for! I will give it a try. It is
volume adjustment and NOT normalization that I wanted. I think there
is confusion between the two.
