What bridge will work with the AT&T 2wire 3600HGV Router

I need to increase range on recently installed 2Wire 3600HGV ATT U-Verse DSL Modem WIFI Router. The signal is weak (1 bar) in my back bedrooms of my home (+/-50 feet from my desktop & 3600 HGV router).

AT&T Tech support worked with me to boost signal of 3600HGV but still weak signal. They did not know about repeater/bridge that would with (compatible) with the 3600HGV router.

I used to have the D-Link DIR-655 wireless router as my wireless home network set-up.

Kindly seeking assistance (make & model(s) and if possible, how to set-up.

Thanks.

Is it possible to do a cable run from the 2Wire to a distant point in the house so you can set up the DIR-655 as an access point?

If not, plan on placing the repeater close enough to the 2Wire that it gets a good signal or it won't work as well.

Pretty much any newer router that supports WDS will work as a repeater or bridge, even something inexpensive like this one with the latest firmware: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
