I have an older yamaha keyboard (PSS-680), that I need an ac adaptor for.
It calls for a Yamaha pa-3, or pa-4. Does anybody know of an equivalent
adaptor that would be similiar. I don`t know what the volts or mA are for
it.

I think it's 12V DC at 1A, but that's only from memory unfortunately.
Doesn't it mention the input voltage next to the power socket though?

My PA-4 adapter is 10.2 volt, 1 Amp - the manual (page 4) claims the DC IN
can be 9-12 volt (9v seems reasonable as it can run off 6 x 1.5 volt
batteries).
At last - absolution for my keeping 'junk' habit..! Thanks.

Make sure you get the polarity round the right way. The Yamaha WILL burn out
an internal diode, or worse, if you don't. It should say which polarity the
centre pin is on the moulding next to the DC socket. I'm 99% sure it is
centre pin positive.
