TENDA W311R as AP: no internet access

I have researched this and found many references on the Internet, but no solution.
I have added the TENDA W311R to my network as a wireless access point. I can connect to the network, but get no Internet connection.
I have tried 'everything': with and without dhcp, security, with different wireless laptops and smart phones. It works fine, except Internet access.
Has anyone had this problem and solved it?

Thanks for the hint. I have done this. The annoying thing is that the router works: I can connect to the network and to all the computers on it. I can also ping the main router. However, I don't get out into the Internet.
I have now also tried with another main router (edimax instead of zyxel). No difference.
