Numerous free tolls are available. If you're running Windows, check for
instance Illustrate's excellent dBpowerAMP Music Converter

BTW, converting lossy files into another lossy format isn't a great idea.

Yes. Buy why would you want to do that?
You'd need some really compelling reason to take the significant quality
hit.
